After my father Charles Michael died, I found a letter tucked away in an old wallet, it was the last letter that his older brother David Reginald Michael had sent home from the Great War, my grandmother had kept it until she died and then my father kept it also. David Reginald had gone to war under age, he never came home and has no grave. I never knew him, but feel that he, like all those lost, need to be remembered. I have donated his last letter and photo to Swansea Museum for their Great War Exhibition on behalf of my family.
