Robert Llove Lloyd was was the eldest son of Col. TEJ Lloyd, of Plas Tregayan, Llangefni, Anglesey. He served in the South African War, 1901-1902, and in the South Nigerian Regiment. He was aide de camp to the Governor of South Nigeria in 1909. He was recalled to the army in 1913 re-joining the Royal Welsh Fusiliers. In 1914 he became Brigade Major. He died on 9th of December 1915 of wounds received during the Gallipoli campaign. He had not married.
