I am sorry that I do not know your Christian name, but that does not hinder me, as a former Lincolns soldier myself, from saluting you as a brave soldier who died in the service of his country. I also hope that the Depot provided you with a Guard of Honour at your funeral, who fired the traditional salute to a fallen comrade. I am not aware of the circumstances of your death, but you must have been one of the very early volunteers at the beginning of the war, unless, of course, you were a regular. My sympathy to your relatives who mourned your sacrifice. Rest in Peace. Harry.
