Mathew, I am not aware of the circumstances of your death, but, as a former member of the Lincolns myself, I am pleased to be given this opportunity to salute you as a brave soldier who lost his life in the service of his country. I guess that as an eighteen year old you had volunteered soon after the call to arms came. I trust that the Guard of Honour at your funeral service fired the traditional salute to a fallen comrade. My sympathy to your parents and to other relatives who mourned your sacrifice. Rest in Peace. Harry.
