Leonard was my Grandfathers Brother, he was killed in action in the attack on the Roche Noire in the north of Greece on the 1st September 1918, only four weeks before the end of the war on the Eastern Front, where more died of malaria than through combat. My Grandfather gave my Brother Leonard's Bugle, we hope to visit the war cemetery where Leonard is buried in 2018, to commemorate the 100th year of his death. The words "Sweet Memories Cling" added to his headstone at the request of his Mother, my Great Grandmother. We are very proud of you Leonard and will pass your memory down to future generations so your sacrifice will never be forgotten.
