Abraham was born and raised in Dolgellau, Merionethshire. His parents, Cadwaladr and Jane Jones lived in Aran Road in the town.
Very little is known of Abraham's life other than he moved to Blaenau Ffestiniog where he married Annie Ellen. They had six children.
Records show that Abraham was a Corporal in a Tunnelling Company with The Royal Engineers. He was wounded near Ypres, Belgium. It is not known how he was wounded but they were serious enough to be fatal. He died on 20 July 1917.
Abraham is buried in Dozinghrem Military Cemetery, near Ypres. He is commemorated on the War Memorial in Dolgellau.
