Arthur Holroyd O’Hara Wood (b. 1890 - d. 1918 France) was, like his brother Pat, an Australian tennis player. He won the 1914 Australasian Championships before he joined the Royal Flying Corps in 1915 and saw service in France. He was appointed to an important post at flying school in England and was in charge of a squadron patrolling Saint-Quentin in France when another plane flew into his. He died from multiple injuries and is buried at the Bronfay Farm Military Cemetery in Bray-sur-Somme. He was the first born of his parents John James O’HARA WOOD (1863-1920) and Sophie Marion the daughter of Sir Edward Dundas HOLROYD.
