I own a diary from the Gallipoli campaign. It belonged to CsM A Downer. He was the relative of a neighbour of mine. I don't know anything about him, but I do know what the campaign was like from reading the diary. He listed all the men in his company - Y company. He also lists dates relevant to each man such as wounded, hospitalised, invalided out, returned and died. This man was one of his men. Such bravery. They all deserve to be remembered.
