Caesar Corlett was one of ten children born to Thomas and Margaret Corlett, who at that time lived at Croggane Cottage, Ballacorey Road, Andreas, Isle of Man. His brothers and sisters were, in order of age : - John James, Robert Thompson, William Henry, Elinor Christian, Margaret, Alfred, Philip Arthur ( my Paternal Grandfather), Catherine Jane and Florence May. After the death of their Father, Thomas Corlett, in 1897 the family moved to live in Ramsey, Isle of Man. It is on the War Memorial in Ramsey, Isle of Man that Caesar is remembered. Caesar's brother, Alfred, also lost his life in WW1, on 13th September 1914.
