Ina 1911 Noah was working as a gas fitter for MR J W Auchterlonie of the Cambridge Gaslight Co
Pte Kimmence was awarded the British, Victory and 15 Star Medals

The Late Corporal Kimmence
A memorial service was held at St Phillips Church Ramsey Town last evening in connection with the death of L/Cpl Ted Kimmence of Ramsey Road who was killed by a sniper.
The service was attended by a large congregation and was conducted by the vicar L C Essex. Those present included the following members of the bereaved family Mr and Mrs Kimmence, Miss Kimmence, Miss Bradshaw and Mr F H Lambert. The congregation also included representatives of the church and Sunday school amongst those being Messrs Flanders and Parsons the church wardens. Also present were Mr J W Auchterlonie manager of the Cambridge Gaslight Co and employees of the company who Pte Kimmence worked for.
Members of the choir led the singing.
The vicar alluded to letters of condolence that had been received in which high tributes had been paid to the character and popularity of LCpl Kimmence. He died as he loved doing his duty. It was while fixing a mine in a dangerous place in the trenches that the death from which he saved others.
At the close of the service buglers from the Territorial Headquarters in East Road sounded the ‘Last Post’. Mr W E Mowton the organist played a Beethoven March composed on the death of a friend.
