Son of George and Martha Ann Hearn of 52 Panton Street, Cambridge

Stanley had three brothers and one sister Albert, Arthur, Percy and Dolly

Stanley’s brother 2nd Lt Albert Henry Hearn died 9 days after him on 1st October 1917 age 31 he served with the 1st/2nd Battalion Attached to 1st/8th Leicestershire Regiment and is remembered with honour at Tyne Cot Memorial

His other two brothers also served in France Pte Arthur Hearn of Lancashire Regiment and Cpl Percy Hearn of Royal Engineers both survived the war

Pte Hearn joined the army in June 1915 and had been in France for 18 months and had been waiting for leave at the time of his death

Pte Hearn left effects of £10 3s 11d to his mother Martha

Pte Stanley John Hearn is remembered with honour at Godewaersvelde British Cemetery
